A visual timer that shrinks as time passes
Disc Timer shows the time left as the size of a colored disc instead of just numbers. A quick glance from across the room tells you how much time remains. It runs right in your browser — no install, no sign-up.
How to use
- Drag the disc with your finger or mouse, or use the presets and custom input below. Each disc is one hour: go past 60 minutes and another disc appears, up to three (3 hours) arranged in a triangle. The disc that is counting down is shown larger.
- Press Start and the disc slowly shrinks. At zero you get 10 seconds of flashing, fireworks and a chime.
- Pomodoro mode repeats 25 minutes of focus and 5 minutes of break; every 4th break is 15 minutes.
- Silence the alert any time with the sound button. Turn on full screen and keep-awake to use a tablet or monitor as a focus clock.
- Shortcuts: Space start/pause, R reset, F full screen, ↑↓ ±1 minute, M sound
FAQ
Is it accurate if I switch tabs?
Yes. The time left is calculated from the start time, so it stays accurate even if you switch tabs or the screen sleeps briefly. The chime plays the moment it ends.
Where is my focus time stored?
Only in this browser — nothing is sent to a server. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Can I show it on a classroom screen?
Of course. Press F for full screen and only the disc and the time left are shown, big and clear.
