An exam timer for the classroom

A free exam timer that shows the time left as a red disc and big numbers. Put it full screen on the classroom TV or projector and students can see the remaining time at a glance. The disc shows the last hour like a Time Timer.

How to use

Pick a duration and press Start to time the exam from now.
Under More, enter any number of minutes or set exact clock times such as 9:00 – 10:30. Before the start time it counts down to the start, then begins automatically.
At 10 and 5 minutes before the end a banner and chime appear, and when time is up you get a flash, fireworks and “Time's up”.
During the exam the settings are hidden and Stop must be pressed twice, so it can't be stopped by accident. Use +1 to extend the end by a minute.
Shortcuts: F full screen, M mute

FAQ

Does the timer reset if I reload or close the tab?

No. The start and end times are saved in your browser, so it picks up where it was. Alert sounds need one tap on the screen to turn back on (a browser rule).

What if my computer clock is wrong?

Times follow this device's clock. You can check it on the current time page.
